“You have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world. And you have to do it all the time.”

                                                        ― Angela Davis

We are the everyday radicals. We are historians, educators, archivists, and lifelong learners from all different backgrounds. We are committed to deepening our own critical consciousness, in order to be better teachers, neighbors, citizens, and ancestors.

We aspire to share history through an equitable, holistic, and anti-oppressive lens. We share the histories whose legacies are still evident today, as well as the histories that never got the attention they deserved. We share the histories that were swept under the rug for indecency, and those discredited because they exposed the fragile foundation of our systemically oppressive country. We share collective histories, as well as those of the individual human spirit. We challenge the colonial gaze and bring attention to the indigenous and enslaved.

We look to the past in order to heal the present and enact true, equitable change.
